Design and photography meets fine arts with these two guest speakers. One is a seasoned art director, the other a well traveled photographer, both are professors at Oklahoma State University and practicing fine artists. Lisa Maione and Andy Mattern will be sharing their insight on two separate disciplines that requires creative problem solving. Hang out with some friends for social hour then kick-off the Art Directors Club of Tulsa 2016-2017 season with some sweet speakers.

Lisa Maione Bio:
Lisa J. Maione is an art director, designer, and educator. Lisa cut her teeth in New York City at various studios including 2×4, Pentagram, mgmt. design, Wolff Olins, and Metropolis magazine before starting an independent studio practice. Lisa holds a BFA and an MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a post-graduate certificate in Typeface Design from Type@Cooper NYC. She is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Oklahoma State University.

Andy Mattern Bio:

Andy Mattern is an Assistant Professor of Photography & Digital Media at Oklahoma State University. His work has been exhibited at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe, the Lawndale Art Center in Houston, Candela Gallery in Richmond, Virginia, and the Photographic Centre Peri in Turku, Finland. Mattern has received awards for his work including the Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Printing Fellowship from Photo Center NW in Seattle, and he is a 2016-2017 recipient of the Art365 Grant from OVAC. He holds an MFA in Photography from the University of Minnesota and a BFA in Studio Art from the University of New Mexico.
