Joshua Meier is an artist and educator who grew up on the plains of western Oklahoma. He began his career after attending Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana. He eventually went on to receive a B.F.A. from Rogers State and his M.F.A. from the University of Tulsa.
Meier’s work has been exhibited extensively around the country, including the Missoula Art Museum in Montana, the Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado, the Biggs Museum of American Art in Delaware, as well as numerous private galleries in Texas, Virginia, Vermont, and Oregon. Meier’s work explores ideas concerning memory, both its creation and loss.
For the past 7 years, Meier has been head of photography at St. Andrew’s School–an Episcopal, co-educational boarding school in Middletown, Delaware.
